What Do You Want To Be Remembered For?
This is a fantastic article from the New York Times about Estate Planning and Planned Giving.
The article talks about the thought process one goes through in planning his or her estate in New Jersey and across the country. One paragraph I especially liked was:
However you decide to donate your assets, “it’s about legacy,” says [Kevin] Pickett, the development director. “It’s a move from success to significance. Your whole life you’ve probably been focused on your career and getting ahead. Estate planning is really reflecting on your legacy. What do you want to be remembered for?”
What a great article. Click here to read the rest of it.
